Please Follow The Power Surge Message Board, Insta-Chat And Blog Guidelines   This is the newest of numerous Power Surge message boards. The board is divided into individual subjects or Forums. We recommend you first look around, familiarize yourself with the new format and features. Select subjects of interest to you and post to your heart's content, but please read these guidelines before posting.   When you registered for these boards, the "default" was set to leave your E.mail address "private." We do so for your privacy and protection. However, if you chose to make your E.mail address public, you do so at your own discretion. Should you decide to make your E.mail address private, click on MY CONTROLS on the menu at the top of each screen and under Options select E.mail Settings. You can change the option to keep your E.mail address public or private. Messages advertising products, or linking to Web sites selling these products and services are not permitted - including other menopause sites. This means not only blatant advertising, but the advertising that seeks out women in need of help, endears them to the poster (seller) with their guarantees for success with a product. Beware of those asking you to E.mail them for more information.   4) Messages requesting participation in and information for books, newspaper, magazine articles, school papers, surveys or theses are not permitted.   5) Profanity and/or crude language are not permitted on the board, in insta-chat and in the blogs, nor are links to sites containing pornography or anything offensive. Anything deemed to be inappropriate or harmful for viewing by children will be removed from these boards immediately. There have often been children or young relatives of women going through menopause looking for information to better understand, or to find information for relatives who may not be on the Internet.   6) Please do not harass or attack other participants. Messages of a confrontational manner are not permitted and will be removed at the discretion of the Board Administrator. Continual harassment of any other member will result in the termination of your username. If you take issue with the nature or theory of a message, address the theory, but do not attack the person proposing the theory.   7) Multiple member names are not permitted use on these message boards. Masquerading as more than one person, or as a person of the opposite gender is strictly prohibited. User names with "Doctor," "Dr." or "M.D." are not permitted to post on this board. Hi girls,

Today's my bobby's birthday.  I woke with a sinus headache, errrrrrr and have alot to do.  Took him to work, then went to Mervyn's bought him some light weight polos for work.  Then got a tummy ache had to dash home so I could use my own bathroom.  Headache will cause me to feel nausea or go to the bathroom, headaches being nurological can cause this.  Anyway I wasn't done shopping for his b'day.  So I went out once more, got him a new pair of sandals at Payless shoe sourse.  hehehe

Ok leanne here's the down side of my day, so that you know I'm human.  I had had fresh fruit for b'fst.  But was really craving a Hot Cross Bun.  So after I took Bella in to be washed,,,,,,,,,couldn't even fatham me washing her with my headache.  I went to Safeway, and bought some.  Got his card, gift bag, and wrap. Now I guess I had better clean up, as his b'day cake will be ready in an hour.

Was going to make homemade spaghetti and meat balls, one of his favorites, we shall see.  I just might put a call in Pietros and order out.

It's a mild day, sort of a cloudy day.  Teeshirt and jogger bottoms is what i'm wearing.  If I was brave I would have worn burmudas, nope nope nope, gonna get me some capri pants. Yea that'll do it!!!

Feel good girls, be safe have a great Wednesday  :)

Aloha girlfriends,

Just got caught up on everyones posts.

Its been so hectic with work, and then feeling sad about my Harry.  Well, hubby and I are getting through it.  Thanks again for all of your support.

So glad to hear Jennimarie is hanging in and the cancer hasnt spread.  Whew!

It's been beautiful here.  (today is a touch cloudy, but who cares????)  Went to the beach on Saturday and it was divine.  Whales are still here, they will be getting ready to go north soon.

A (quite nice looking) gentleman was in my center working this morning.  He is a local meeting planner here with one of the groups.  I gave him "special price" for his use of the center.  Well!  He just came in and gave me a bottle of champagne!  Whoohoo!! My favorite!

He's flirting big time too.  This is kinda fun!  Can't wait to get home and get this bugga chilled down!  I know, Ed and I will have a toast for our boy........:-)

Well girlies, I better get back to work.  I'm on the other side again today so I have the long drive home too.

Be safe, be well, spread a little aloha!Lolly

Good Morning girls!!!  The sun is shining for the second day ina row.We had frost on the plants this morning though. Am keeping my fingers crossed that my flowers and pear tree will make it okay. Blooms are on for now.

Looking forward to the chat Thurs. nite. Worked hard on an Alzheimers wing for several years. We started it from scratch. Floor plan to decorating to dining area and procedure. Very futuristic for this part of the midwest. State surveyor's loved it so much they sent other facilitites and companies for tours and lessons.

Biggest thing i learned from family and daily experiences is space and time for yourself. We were/are very big on allowing and encouraging family to spend as much or as little time and participation as they feel necessary or capable of giving.

Decided I was going to wear myself out today doing manual labor out of doors. When I get done i will have to take Ibuprophen and a long hot bubble bath( followed by a hotflash i will sleep thru).

Enjoy the weather, no matter what kind you have today!

It's sunny this PM in Virginia, but supposed to have heavy rain tonight-ugh!  After that, I think it's supposed to (finally) warm up a bit--we'll see.

Am trying to keep myself busy while hubby is away, but not doing a very good job at it!  Doing some craft work and painting on my mural.  I think I better get out of the house tomorrow!!!!

Hope to see you all at tonight's chat!  Take care!

Hi girls,

It's 8:15am here.  Haven't gone yet for my walk, will do real soon.  Today will be my long one.  Have to be quick today.  Bobby has an appointment with the cardiologist at 11:00am.  I will be going with him.Today's our days off as well.  Hopefully we'll do something fun fun fun.  Although it is a week from tomorrow that bobby's daughter and her 2 sons arrive. They will be here for a week.  Haven't seen them in over 3 yrs.  Bobby will be meeting his new g'son as well.

The weather is chilly here right now.  I'm sitting here with my little joggers jacket on.  hehehe don't want to turn the heat back on, nope nope nope.

Pauline you sound like your doing really well.  That's terrific that you got through it, I'm so pleased to hear that.  :)  Yoga is great.  I'm not a true Yogie, I mean I can not twist this old body into postions that I've seen some do.    am/pm Rodney Yee, the gentle gentle stretching, is my speed.    Sure does help me when I get home from my walks.  Your quite welcome Pauline glad that I could help :)

Well I gotta jam here.

Have a great weekend girls.  Feel good.  Enjoy that beauty around you.  I'm wanting to pick lilacs for putting in a vase, only I don't have any around :( hmmmmm thinking here.

be safe GG

Hello Ladies..Hope everyone's having a good Friday! Deb..It's a dreary, rainy day here in W.VA also. It's been that way all week, and we even had about an inch of snow one morning..can't remember which day.  Things are looking up though, highs in the 60's by sunday..then upper 70's all next week. I feel so much better when we have sunshine. We go out and hunt for wild mushrooms this time of year,  their called Morels. I've been doing that since I was a little girl. Very tasty! Take care everyone, and have a good weekend..I wish sunshine for all.
