  1. I'm a lurker on this thread... My sweet friend, Beth, told me you were into a henna discussion here. ?(I'm the one who talked her into using it!) ?I just wanted to add my two cents here. ?Suzie--yes, you can henna over highlighted hair. ?I just did. ?Just make sure you do a strand test so you don't get unwanted weird results. ?My hair is brown with quite a bit of white--I used the marron henna Beth talks about--she was so sweet to send me some--and, although the brown came out a nice rich auburn, the whites were rather, ummm...red. ?Ron Weasley red. ?Since the Lush henna really held to my hair more than any I've found in the states, it didn't wash out and within a couple months I was really showing my roots. ?I was kinda tired of the red, so I thought if I highlighted it, I could maybe follow the greying pattern. ?Well, it a was a bit much--some of it was brassy red, some like a shiny new penny, some (the original white) came out platinum. ?I then used a brown henna over the whole mess and now it is a rich dark red/brown with suble streaks of golden red. ?Anyone remember Judy Collins' album, Colors of the Day? ?Well, these were Colors of the Week. ?Deb--this henna, Lush, ?DOES cover grey. ?And since they add spices and herbs to it, it doesn't smell as, umm..., earthy as henna we get here does. ?Good stuff.? Lolly--I'm sorry about Harry. ?It sure does hurt to lose our furry friends. Kinda funny to hear where you are all from--i've lived in a number of the places mentioned...Orange County, Bay area, Oceanside...I'm now in Colorado and missing the ocean SO much. ?The mountains are great, but I'm an ocean person. Will be moving soon to the east coast where I can get a taste of the Atlantic.
  2. I've checked ?number of virus/hoax warning sites and this is an updated hoax. ?One site, Symantec, has the various versions, including a Dutch one; another also has a Spanish version.
  3. Yes, thanks Dearest, that would account for being unable to access the site. ?I have found, though, that I'm still unable to get into certain threads. ?Actually, I get in but there's nothing there. ?Is anyone else having that problem? ?Maybe it's my connection.
  4. this is a tech question for the board, but includes also a pet peeve of mine concerning ?the gender writing that is prevalent in our society. ?i tried to get onto the site last night and it was busy (knowing how the crazy the chats can get, i'm not surprised! ? ) ?i also tried, unsucessfully, to access the joints board through the email i get. ?here's part of the error message i got: "Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@power-surge.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error." now, ?was that written by a man or what? ?talk about giving me a guilt complex! ?"anything you might have done that may have caused the error." ?jeez..... anyways, i just tried the joints board and it seems like we lost it. ?and for some weird reason, i feel guilty......
