My interests include writing, antiques, computers, the Internet, Web design, new technology. Politics (The West Wing was my all-time favorite show), music, especially jazz. Eclectic tastes. I'm concerned about the protection of our environment and natural resources. My passion -- Power Surge! Used to travel a great deal. Love artsy jewelry, sterling, turtle necks, art and good films. Fascinated with everything Native American/American Southwestern.

What wonderful pictures, Dearest smile.gif  You must be so proud!

That's so neat that they put you on the Table of Contents page, too - on top of all those men!  :)

I know you've been in lots of books (and magazines?) before, but I this one is really cool.  It's such a "mainstream" magazine, it's the bigtime.

Thanks for creating such a wonderful place for us - and making us all so proud of you!

I got my copy!!! ?They have them (here, anyway) at Borders Books.

It was well worth the wait and going to check on availability several times.

I'll bet you're so excited, Dearest smile.gif ?Maybe you could put up a new poll for this, see how many women found Power Surge for the first time through Forbes.

WooooooHoooooo

Thanks for all your good wishes. I'm pretty speechless myself! (me being speechless -- talk about an oxymoron -- LOL) And, by the way, I don't have a copy of the magazine yet either.

I feel more pride than anything -- just imagining when I first created a message board on AOL to talk to other women in menopause -- and look what's become of it. Amazing.

Dearest!  You look fabulous in the Forbes photo!!  :)  I remember you being stressed about what to wear, how much makeup to use, etc....but you look incredible!  I know you're proud of Power Surge, as well you should be.  I just returned from visting with my parents on vacation.  I was telling them how much this site has helped and blessed me.  Now I can tell them to pick up a copy of the Forbes magazine and enjoy reading about all you've accomplished!!

Great job Dearest!  I'm off to buy my copy tomorrow at the nearest bookstore!

Ok my letter is in cyber space I guess. I have looked at all the places I might have put my letter about  Forbes and it's nowhere in site. Now I can't remember what I said:( I'm sure it was wonderfully witty though -heehee

So I will just say , you look fabulous, and deserve every bit of recognition you are getting . More to come I'm sure. smile.gif  Congratulations on the wonderful job and many thanks for creating it , Dearest.

HUGS, well done , love , jeanne

It's funny that you chose that quote, Kevin, from the Jack Nicholson / Helen Hunt film,  "As Good As It Gets." It's among my favorites.

When I played the tape once, I was so taken by the passage from whence that line came, that I wrote it all down.

Jack Nicholson's Melvin says to Helen Hunt's character, "I might be the only person on the face of this earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and in every single thought that you have and how you say what you mean and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good."

"I think most people miss that about you and I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good about me. You make me want to be a better man."

Great picture!  I bought the Forbes magazine, excited to read the article, only to find I was behind a month, so I missed the article.  I wonder if I went on to their web site if they have back issues?  I'll have to check with them, because I'd really love to read it.  Congratulations again, Dearest, on being featured in such a prestigious magazine.

CONGRATULATIONS DEAREST - and THANK YOU for helping all of us -

A question for you - did you go through a VERY EARLY MENOPAUSE??? If you are 55 now, you must have been 37 then, which is quite early for menopause -

Thanks again for this website -
